Abstract
タービンに導かれる排気を浄化しつつ過給性能を向上させることが可能な内燃機関の排気制御装置を提供する。複数の気筒(2)を有するとともにターボ過給機(7)を備えた内燃機関(1)に適用され、排気通路(4)は、#1及び#4の気筒(2)の排気側とタービン(7b)とを接続するとともにスタート触媒(23)が設けられる第1分岐通路(21)と、#2及び#3の気筒(2)の排気側とタービン(7b)とを接続するとともにスタート触媒(23)より上流の第1分岐通路(21)と連通する第2分岐通路(22)と、を備えた排気制御装置において、第1分岐通路(21)と第2分岐通路(22)とが連通している連通部(25)に#2及び#3の気筒(2)からの排気をスタート触媒(23)に導入する導入位置(P1)とその導入を阻止する阻止位置(P2)との間で切り替え可能な排気切替弁(26)が設けられ、ECU(30)は内燃機関(1)の運転状態に基づいて排気切替弁(26)の位置を切り替える。
