Abstract

 放射線検出器用のシンチレータにおいて、発光強度が高く、また、X線照射停止後1~10msという短時間経過後の残光が小さな蛍光材料を提供する。  Ceを発光元素とし、少なくともGd、Al、Ga、OおよびFeを含み、MがMg、Ti、Niのうち少なくとも1種類以上であり、下記一般式で表されることを特徴とする蛍光材料。  (Gd1-x-zLuxCez)3+a(Al1-u-sGauScs)5-aO12 ここで、0≦a≦0.15、0≦x≦0.5、0.0003≦z≦0.0167、0.2≦u≦0.6、0≦s≦0.1であり、Fe、Mの添加濃度は、Fe:0.05~1massppm、M:0~50massppmである。
