Definitions
- the present invention relates to a table, in particular a student table, having the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- the table according to the invention in particular student table, has a table top and a table frame, wherein the table frame includes two side brackets, which are each arranged below the table top and each have two legs, which are connected to each other via a connecting portion.
- the two side brackets of the table frame are each arranged laterally (i.e., in the transverse direction of the table) outside the table top, and their two table legs continuously diverges at least in their end portion remote from the table top in the direction away from the table top.
- the two side brackets of the table frame are each arranged laterally outside of the table top and their two table legs, at least in their end facing away from the table top in the direction away from the table divide continuously, several such tables can be easily stacked and space-saving by the side brackets of overlapping tables at least partially mesh laterally outside their table tops. Further, since the table frame is not connected via a hinge connection, but rigidly connected to the table top, this table also achieves high stability with a very simple structure and avoids an additional operation of folding when stacking the tables.
- the two legs of the side arms run substantially over their entire length in the direction away from the table top continuously apart. In this way, the stack height of the tables can be greatly reduced.
- At least one spacer is provided on each of the two side brackets, which is arranged in the plane of the respective side bracket.
- the two side bars are interconnected via at least one transverse bar in the transverse direction of the table, and the table frame with the two side bars and the at least one transverse bar is integrally formed (e.g., welded). In this way, the stability of the table frame is greatly increased.
- a box is provided below the table top, which is designed to be open to the user side of the table, and in the box, for example, a replaceable insert for variable application purposes (eg book shelf according to European or US standard ) arranged. Due to the uniform box below the tabletop and the exchangeable individual inserts, the table can be used universally and easily adapted to the respective application. Incidentally, the box below the table top automatically determines the stacking height of the table.
- the box is carried below the table top by two crossbars which interconnect the side frames of the table frame in the transverse direction of the table, and these two transverse bars of the table frame for supporting the box are preferably located above the lower edge of the box so that the cross bars do not interfere with stacking the tables.
- the underside of the box facing away from the table top is preferably formed or provided with a Gleitschutzeigenschaft to protect the table top of a lower table when stacking.
- the box below the table top may optionally be integrally formed with the table top or integrally with the table frame. As a result, the final assembly of the table is facilitated because of the achieved high degree of prefabrication with few items.
- the side brackets (over the table frame) are rigidly connected to the table top, resulting in a high stability of the table.
- the side brackets are movable relative to the table top in the transverse direction of the table between a laterally extended stacking position outside the table top and an inserted use position within the table top, the side brackets are preferably detectable in their stacking position and in their use position.
- the tables can be placed close to each other in their position of use of the side bar and stack to save space in their stacking position of the side bar.
- the end remote from the table top of at least one leg of the table is provided with a furniture glides, so that the respective floor covering is spared.
- At least one of the furniture glides may further comprise an integral spacer which is arranged in the plane of the respective side bracket.
- This integral spacer supports - as the spacer mentioned above - a secure stacking of several tables exactly above the other.
- the ends of the table legs facing away from the table legs of at least one side bracket are each provided with a caster, wherein the casters are preferably designed and arranged exclusively for movement of the table in its transverse direction.
- Fig. 1 is a schematic side view of a table according to a preferred
- FIG. 2 shows a schematic view of the table of FIG. 1 from the side facing away from the user (rear side);
- Fig. 3 is a schematic plan view of the table of Fig. 1;
- FIG. 4 is a schematic side view of several stacked tables of FIG. 1.
- Figs. 1 shows the student table schematically from the side.
- Figure 2 schematically from behind.
- Fig. 3 schematically from above.
- Fig. 4 illustrates the stacking of several such student tables one above the other in side view.
- the student table consists essentially of a table top 10, for example made of wood or plastic, and a table frame, for example made of steel or another dimensionally stable material.
- the table frame has two side brackets 14, which are each constructed of a front table leg 1 6, a rear table leg 1 8 and a connecting portion 20 connecting them.
- the two side brackets 14 are further integrally connected to each other (eg, by means of several (in this embodiment, three) transverse rods 22, 24, 26 in the transverse direction of the table Welding), so that a dimensionally stable table frame for supporting the table top 10 results.
- these side brackets 14 on the one hand below the table top 10 (i.e., the connecting portion 20 is disposed lower than the table top 10) and on the other hand in the transverse direction of the table outside the table top 10 are arranged. Furthermore, the front and the rear table leg 16, 18 of a side bracket 14 at least in the end facing away from the table top 10 in the direction away from the table top 10 apart. As can be seen in FIG. 1, the two table legs 16, 18 in the present exemplary embodiment run apart substantially over their entire length in the direction away from the table top 10, so that the tables can be stacked more tightly, as later with reference to FIG. 4 will be explained.
- FIG. 1 shows that the two table legs 16, 18 of a side bracket 14 have different angles relative to the table top 10. This is due in particular to the requirement for student tables legroom for the students. Since this generally entails the risk that the tables are not arranged exactly vertically one above the other during stacking, but "migrate backwards", at least one spacer 28 is provided on each side bar 14, which is aligned within the construction plane of the respective side bar 14. This spacer 28 is, for example, fixedly mounted on a table leg 16, 18 and preferably protrudes inward (FIG.
- the end face remote from the respective table leg 16, 18 preferably has a recess which corresponds to the outer shape of a table leg 1 6, 18 corresponds to receive the table leg 1 6, 1 8 of the adjacent table in the stack and easy to fix its position, as illustrated in Fig. 4 explained later.
- the table legs 16, 18 of the side brackets 14 preferably have a furniture slider 30 or 32, in order to protect the floor covering when the table slips.
- the furniture slider 32 of the rear table leg 18 has an integral spacer 34 which projects inwardly. This integral spacer 34 of the rear furniture Slider 32 keeps the back table legs 18 away from adjacent tables of a stack so that the entire stack of tables is stabilized (see Fig. 4, discussed below).
- a box 36 is mounted, the dimensions of which are indicated by dash-dotted lines in the illustration of FIG.
- This box 36 is open at least to the user or front of the table (right in Fig. 1 and bottom in Fig. 3).
- the other three sides of the box 36 are generally at least partially closed.
- the side walls of the box for example, provided with openings 37 or the like design features.
- the box 36 is made, for example, of plastic (e.g., injection molding) and serves as a unitary receptacle for individual inserts 38 for variable usage purposes.
- the insert 38 may form a bookcase compartment which, depending on the country-specific standard, is arranged at different heights below the table top 10.
- a device for suspending a schoolboy table with its seat below the table top 10 is conceivable.
- the present invention is not limited only to the inserts 38 explicitly mentioned here.
- the box 36 below the table top 10 also determines the stacking height of the table (see Fig. 4, described later). Since the box 36 with its bottom facing away from the table top 10 comes to lie in a stack of tables on the top of the table top 10 of a table arranged underneath, this bottom is advantageously formed or provided with a Gleitschutzeigenschaft (eg coating, covering, etc.) , In this way, the tops of the table tops 10 are protected when stacking the tables against scratching.
- a Gleittikeigenschaft eg coating, covering, etc.
- the upper crossbars of the table frame ie the second crossbar 24 and the third crossbar 26 are advantageously arranged so that they are above the lower edge of the box 36 below the table top 10. As explained below, serve the second and the third Crossbar 24, 26 of the table frame further carrying the box 36 and thus the table top 10th
- the box 36 is integrally formed with the table top 10.
- the table thus has a high degree of prefabrication with only two components, namely the table top 10 with box 36 on the one hand and the table frame with the side brackets 14 and the cross bars 22, 24, 26 on the other hand, whereby the final assembly of the table is very simple.
- the table top 10 can be placed with the box 36 first from behind on the second crossbar 24, wherein the second crossbar 24 is guided and held in a corresponding recess in the box 36. Subsequently, the table top 10 is tilted forward until the box 36 also rests on the third crossbar 26 of the table frame, wherein the third crossbar 26 is also guided and held in a corresponding longitudinal recess in the box 36.
- the box 36 is fixed, for example with two screws on the third crossbar 26.
- the recess of the box 36 for the second crossbar 24 of the table frame is shaped so that a folding up of the rear side of the table top 10, for example, if a user relies on their front edge, is reliably prevented.
- a table can simply be pushed with a tilting movement from the back (left in Fig. 1 and 4) on a lower table, without the table must be raised in its full height above the lower table.
- the table has a very simple construction with relatively few components;
- the table has a high degree of prefabrication with few components and allows easy final assembly;
- the table has a high dimensional stability (as there are no joint connections between the table top and the table frame, for example);
- the table can be stacked easily and space-saving.
- the side brackets 14 are rigidly secured to the table top 10 and the box 36, respectively, via the table frame.
- the side bars should preferably be lockable in their stacking position and in their use position.
- the displacement movement of the side brackets 14 can be achieved, for example, by a telescopic construction of the transverse rods 22, 24, 26.
- the table top 10 and the box 36 were formed integrally and on the other hand, the table frame with side brackets 14 and cross bars 22, 24, 26 integrally formed.
- the table top 10 it is also possible to provide the table top 10 separately and to form or pre-assemble the box 36 integrally on the table frame so that only two components are available for final assembly.
- the second and the third crossbar 24, 26 also extend only to the side walls of the box 36 and screwed there with this. There are only shorter cross bars 24, 26 required.
- the lower ends of the table legs 1 6, 1 8 of the side bracket 14 may be provided not only with furniture glides 30, 32.
- casters may also be mounted on the lower ends of the table legs 16, 18 of at least one side bracket 14, so that the table can be moved easily and without much effort.
- These casters are preferably designed and arranged so that they allow only a movement of the table in its transverse direction, so that the table is positioned more stable in use.
- the casters are preferably detectable.
- the present invention is basically applicable to tables with any table heights.
- Typical table heights for student tables are in the range between 530 mm and 820 mm.
- the rear legs 1 8 of the side arms 14 are inclined, for example, at an angle of about 5 ° to about 1 5 °, more preferably about 7 ° to about 12 ° to the vertical, while the front table legs 16 of the side arms 14, for example, at an angle of about 20 ° to about 35 °, more preferably about 25 ° to about 31 ° inclined to the vertical, so that an opening angle between the two legs 16, 18 of a side bar in the range of about 30 ° to about 45 °, more preferably about 33 ° to about 41, 5 ° results.
- These dimensions are natural only exemplary information and can be varied depending on the application and in particular depending on the size of the table top 10.
