  • the present invention relates to an exhaust heat recovery apparatus using a heat pipe, and is suitable for use in, for example, a vehicle including an internal combustion engine.
  • a heat siphon type exhaust heat recovery device as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-120178 is known.
  • This exhaust heat recovery device has a heat siphon force in which an evaporation section and a condensation section are connected in an annular shape.

  • a loop type heat pipe type heat exchanger has been proposed (for example, JP-A-4-45393).
  • This is a closed circulation path forming a closed loop, a heat transfer fluid enclosed in the circulation path and capable of evaporating and condensing, and disposed in the circulation path to evaporate the working fluid by heat input from the outside.
  • the evaporating unit is provided at a position higher than the evaporating unit in the circulation path, and has a condensing unit that exchanges heat between the heat transfer fluid evaporated in the evaporating unit and the heat transfer fluid from the outside. .

It can be configured to have a header (communication part) J5.
  • the working fluid evaporated in the evaporation unit J1 through the exhaust heat recovery device flows into the condensing unit J2 through the upper header J5, and the working fluid condenses into a liquid in the condensing unit J2. Then, it flows into the evaporation section J1 through the lower header J5. Due to the balance between the evaporation of the working fluid in the evaporation section J1 and the condensation of the working fluid in the condensation section J2, the water level difference (hydraulic head difference h) of the working fluid (liquid) is between the evaporation section J1 and the condensation section J2. Arise.

Therefore, in order to return a sufficient amount of working fluid from the condensing part J2 to the evaporation part J1, it is necessary to secure a head difference “h”.
  • an object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust heat recovery apparatus that exhibits both an exhaust gas purification function and an exhaust gas power exhaust heat recovery function, and is excellent in mountability. There is to do.
  • Another object of the present invention is to ensure a water head difference between the evaporation section and the condensation section during circulation of the working fluid and to ensure heat dissipation performance above the heat pipe disposed in the condensation section. Description
