Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 この考案は、エンジン排気中の未燃成分を触媒
を用いて再燃焼させて排気の浄化を図るととも
に、再燃焼によつて一層高温となつた排気の熱エ
ネルギーを水等の液体に効率よく吸収回収するよ
うにした熱交換型マフラの改良に関する。
熱交換機能を有するマフラの一例として、触媒
の周囲に熱交換用の液体を直接流動させて排熱を
回収するものがあるが、再燃焼部と熱交換部が同
一箇所に形成されるために複雑な多重壁構造とな
つて大型になるとともに製作が困難となり、又、
触媒の交換も簡単には行い難いものとなつてい
た。
この考案はかかる点に着目したものであつて、
エンジン排気を導入する断熱構造の本体ケース
と、触媒を充填した触媒ケースと、排熱回収液体
を流動させる熱交換ケースとの3者を独立させ、
これらを共締め連結する構成とすることによつ
て、全体構造の簡素化及びコンパクト化を図り、
製作組付を容易にするとともに、各機能部の独立
した交換を簡単に行えるようにしメインテナンス
の容易化をも図ろうとしたものである。
以下この考案の実施例を図面に基づいて説明す
る。
第1図はエンジンを動力源及び熱源としたヒー
トポンプシステムの概略系統図であつて、2サイ
クルエンジン1によつて冷房系2の冷媒コンプレ
ツサ3を駆動するとともに、エンジン冷却水を暖
房用並びに給湯用の貯湯槽4に導いて熱交換し、
又、エンジン排気をマフラ5で再燃焼処理すると
ともに、エンジン冷却水をマフラ5に導いて排熱
回収するよう構成されている。
第2図はこの熱交換型マフラ5の詳細を示すも
のであつて、これはエンジン排気を導入する有底
筒状の本体ケース5Aと、これに内装される触媒
ケース5Bと、熱交換ケース5Cの3者で構成さ
れている。そして本体ケース5Aは底部一側に排
気導入口6を有するとともにフランジ7付きの開
口部8を有する二重壁構造となつており、この二
重壁部にセラミツクウール等の断熱材9が充填さ
れて、ケース全体が断熱構造となつている。又、
触媒ケース5Bは円筒状に構成されていて、その
内部りセラミツク等の断熱材10を介して2個の
ブロツク状の触媒11が充填されるとともに、そ
の端部には多数の通気孔12を有するフランジ基
本13が取付けられている。更に、熱交換ケース
5Cは、エンジン冷却水を流入口14から導入し
て流入口15から排出するジヤケツト状に構成さ
れていて、その内部に熱交換用の細管16群で接
続された一対のヘツドタンク17,18が収容さ
れ、排気導入側ヘツドタンク17から連設の排ガ
ス導入管19がフランジ基板20に連結されると
ともに、排出側ヘツドタンク18から外部り排気
管21が延出されている。又、この排気管21の
先端にはバネ23で閉塞付勢された弁24が設け
られて、排ガス流出を規制するようになつてお
り、エンジン1が無負荷又は低負荷運転されたと
きに、この弁24によつて排気背圧が高められて
エンジン1への新規充填率を低くし、もつて爆発
力をおしなべて低下させて燃焼の平滑化が図られ
るようになつている。
そして、上記のように夫々が独立の構造物とし
て構成された本体ケース5A、触媒ケース5B、
及び熱交換ケース5Cはボルト22によつて互い
に共締めフランジ連結されており、予め組立製作
した3者5A,5B,5Cを共締め連結するだけ
でマフラ5を組上げることができ、又、ボルト2
2を外して3者5A,5B,5Cを分解して触媒
11の交換等のメインテナンスを行うことができ
るようになつている。
尚、実施例では熱交換ケース5Cが本体ケース
5Aの開口部8の外側に設けられているが、触媒
ケース5Bを更に本体ケース5Aの内方に入れて
取付けるようにすれば、この熱交換ケース5Cを
開口部8に入り込ませて取りつけて一層コンパク
トに構成することも可能である。又、触媒ケース
5Bはそのフランジ基板13に溶接固定して触媒
交換時にケースごと交換するもよく、もしくはケ
ース5Bと基板13とを螺着、ボルト止め、その
他適宜手段で分解可能に連結しておけば触媒11
のみの交換ができる。
以上説明したように本考案の熱交換型マフラ
は、エンジン排気を導入する断熱型本体ケース5
A、触媒ケース5B、及び熱交換ケース5Cを
夫々独立構造としたので、夫々を専用の機能のみ
を発揮させる簡素且つコンパクトな構造にして製
作の容易化を図ることができる。また、三者を共
締め連結するようにしたので、分解が容易とな
り、触媒の交換やケースごとの取替え、等のメイ
ンテナンスがたやすく行えるようになつた。

の縦断面図である。 5A……本体ケース、5B……触媒ケース、5

Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 1 エンジン排気導入口6を有する断熱構造の本
    体ケース5Aに開口部8を形成し、この開口部
    8より、触媒11を充填した触媒ケース5Bを
    挿抜可能に挿入するとともに、本体ケース5A
    の開口部8には、触媒ケース5Bから排出され
    た排ガス熱を流動液体に吸収回収する熱交換ケ
    ース5Cを取付け、これら3個のケース5A,
    5B,5Cをボルト22にて共締め連結してあ
    ることを特徴とするエンジンの熱交換型マフ
    ラ。 2 3個のケース5A,5B,5Cは本体ケース
    5Aの開口部位において共締めフランジ連結さ
    れている実用新案登録請求の範囲第1項に記載
    したマフラ。 3 熱交換ケース5Cは本体ケース5Aの開口部
    8の外側に連結されている実用新案登録請求の
    範囲第1項又は第2項に記載したマフラ。
