- stop or housing can be adjusted continuously while driving. This is important for vertical conveyors that have balancing weights and are equipped with balancing ropes that hang between the underside of the load handler and that of the balancing weight. Since the proportion of the mass of the compensating cables mentioned which additionally influences a braking braking operation changes during the journey, it is advantageous that the position of the stop or the housing, on which the braking force occurring in the case of braking braking depends, can be continuously adapted to this change.
