Abstract

L'invention porte sur un copolymère greffé styrène dans lequel un ou plusieurs monomères aux liaisons éthyléniquement insaturées sont greffés sur un polystyrène syndiotactique. Le copolymère greffé styrène est obtenu de la manière suivante: (1) on prépare un polymère styrène stéréorégulier syndiotactique possédant des motifs de répétition (A) en polymérisant des monomères aromatiques vinyliques sous système catalyseur, ce système catalyseur comprenant des composés de métaux de transition (I) comme composants principaux et des composés d'aluminium organique ou aluminoxanes (II) comme composants cocatalyseurs; et (2) on effectue une polymérisation avec greffage des monomères de la formule (B) aux liaisons éthyléniquement insaturées avec le polymère styrène stéréorégulier syndiotactique. Dans la formule (A) R1 représente un hydrogène, un halogène ou un substituant ne contenant pas de liaisons doubles carbone-carbone, mais un ou plusieurs composants sélectionnés dans le groupe comprenant: carbone, oxygène, soufre, phosphore, sélénium, silicium et étain; et m est un nombre entier compris entre 1 et 3 (si m vaut 2 ou 3, R1 est identique ou inférieur). Dans la formule (B), chacun des R2 à R5 représente un hydrogène, un halogène ou un substituant contenant un ou plusieurs composants sélectionnés dans le groupe comprenant carbone, oxygène, azote, soufre, phosphore, sélénium, silicium et étain.
