DESIGN FOR A PARLOR-STOVE.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

We, JOHN MARTINO and JOHN OURRIE, o f the city of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Parlor-Stoves, of which the following is a specification.

rIhe nature of the design is fully represented in the accompanying photographicillustrations, to which rei'- erence is made.

The bottom plate A of' the stove has a projecting hearth, a.. The rest of the plate is of circular form, corresponding to the body of the stove.

The edge is formed of a quarter round, b, vertical narrow member d, and cove e.

The cove has a running ornament,f.

In the middle of the panels B B, in the front of the ash-pit, are registers O C having at each vertical side a leaf'ed ornament, g.

The cap-ring D of' the ash-pit is of similar form, in its cross-section, to that of the bottom plate A, with the exception of an additional upper rounded member b', ou which there is a border, h.

The projecting edge ot' the rim has a scalloped ornamentation.

The fire-pot E is of swelled form, and has a projecting flange, F, which has a running ornament, j, around its outer edge.

The lower portion of the [ire-pot, belowr the flange, has spreading scroll and leaf ornaments G, the said ornaments being divided by laps It having a succession of leaves.

Around the Iire-pot, above the flange F, are twin elliptical openings H H above the ornaments G, iu which mica is placed.

Around the openings are egg-moldings l, beneath which are leaf' ornaments m.

A crown ornament, u, makes a finish with the upper ends of the twin moldings l, there being leaf ornaments o o which 4branch out from the crown n and overhang the upper ends of the moldings.

The cap-plate I of the fire-pot is of like form, in its cross-section, to that of the edge of the bottom plate A. The edge of the rim has a scalloped ornamentation.

The cylindrical part K has four panels, L.

The front one `is provided with a register, O', like the registers O O of' the ash-pit.

The panels L have elliptical beads m', which have side ornaments p p and end ornaments p' p'.

The latter finish with corner ornaments q q q q.

The outer projection of' the ornaments p p p'p' and q q g q approximate to the rectangular form of the panels L.

The panels are separated by the vertical moldings r, which extend from the annular bottom molding s to the molding s'.

The crown-plate M of the cylindrical part K is of ogee form in its cross-sections, and has a succession of ornaments, t, around it.

The ogee section of the cover N has a succession of leaf ornaments, u.

rlhe overhanging edge c of the cover is scalloped, and has a running vine of zigzag form.

The upper portion of the cap is carved to make a nish with its lower portion.

The urn O has vertical ilutes.

The cover of the urn has open-work w.

We claim as our invention- The design for parlor-stove, as shown and described.
