DESIGN FOR STOVES.
Specification forming part of Design No. 7,468, dated June 2, 1374; application filed April 29, 18%. [Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern:
Be it kro vn that we, JOHN S. PERRY, AN- DREW Dinner, and ABSALOM (J. WILLIAMS, of the city and county of Albany, in the State of New York, have in vented a Design for a Stove, of which the following is a specifioa tion:
A A, the legs, are of cymareversa form, the upper portion of which is partly covered with fine flutings, and the lower portion with wide flutings. B is a circular base. The lower member is a fillet, upon the top of which is a row of isolated hemispheres. An arching member follows, finished by a fillet, on the top of which on a plain surface is a row of contiguous hemispheres. An ogee member next follows, completed by a narrow fillet. This is followed by a wider flat surface, upon which are the letters Perry 85 00., 1874, The Model, following which is the number of the stove, and the words Albany, N. Y. This plate is completed with a narrow fillet and a slightly ogee member. 0 is the lower or ashpit section, of a cyma revcrsa form, and circular flaring at the top. Upon the lower portion of this section are fine vertical flutings and bands of diamonds with hemispheres be tween and in the center of each, extending around the top and bottom. D D are the ashpit doors, with dampers in the same, which are ornamented to correspond with the remainder of this portion of the ash-pit section. The openings for the draft are of an irregu Iar oval in form. The center of this section has a narrow projection in the form of a ring, the outer member of which is ogee, and the inner a flat surface. The upper portion of this section is plain, with a rounded bead encircling the same toward the top. E E are the doors, with two openings in each for mica windows. These windows are encircled by a band composed of alternate diamonds and hemispheres. F is the lower ring, circular in form, the outer member of which is a fillet,
followed by a plain surface, and this in turn by a row of contiguous hemispheres, and the same is completed by an ogce member. G is the mica section, cyma in form, and circular, with the base recessed, and the overlapping ends covered with a rounded head. In this section are four openings for doors, above each of which is a band of arching form, composed of diamonds with hemispheres between. and in the center of each. H II are the doors, in each of which are two openings for mica windows, oblong in form, with square base and rounded top. Each window is encircled by a band composed of alternate diamonds and hemispheres. The top of the door is arching in form, and finished by a rounded head. I is the middle ring, circular in form, the outer member of which is arching, followed by a row of contiguous hemispheres, an ogoe member completing the same. J is the upper section, circular in form, and flaring at the top, with groups of fine vertical fiutings with intervals between the same of plain surfaces. Around the top and base of this section are bands of diamonds with hemispheres between and in the center of each. Above the upper band is a row of contiguous hemispheres. The overlapping joints of this section are finished with rounded heads. K is the top of the stove, circular in form, the lower member of which is arching, and is surmounted by a row of isolated hemispheres. This is followed by an ogec section, sormounted by a row of contiguous hemispheres upon a flat surface, following which is an ogee member, and then a flat surface for the cover to slide upon. L is the cover, circular in form, the lower member of which is a fillet, or somewhat rounded member, followed by a rounded member, which is surmounted by a row of contiguous hemispheres, above which is an ogee member, with another row of contiguous hemispheres, and a rounded member for the urn to stand upon.
