UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
CHARLES l. LITTLEPAGE, OF BALLENA, CALIFORNIAT DESIGN FOR A NAlL-EXTRACTOR.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, CHARLES P. LITTLEPAGE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Ballena, in the county of San Diego and State of California, haveinvented and produced a new "ad original Design for a Nail-Extractor, of which the following is a specification.
The invention relates to a new and original design for a nail-extractor; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character which will be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a nail-extractor having a straight shank and provided at the outer end thereof with a pair of oppositely-disposed arms, one of the arms extending outward longitudinally of the shank at a slight angle thereto and provided with a claw and the other arm being arranged at an acute angle to the shank and enlarged at the outer end and tapering to the shank.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective View of a nail-extractor, showing my new and original design. Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the same.
Referring to the drawings, 1 designates a straight shank or bar provided at its outer end with arms 2 and 3, and the arm 2, which is disposed at a slight angle to the shank or bar 1, extends outward therefrom longitudinally thereof. lhe inner portion of the arm 2 is thickened and provided with a convex outer face 4 and the outer end of the arm 2 is provided with a claw 5. The arm 3, which is arranged at an acute angle to the shank, extends backward and inward and is provided with an enlarged outer end. The outer end of the arm 3 is of greater width than the shank or bar of the arm 2, and the said arm 3 tapers toward its inner end, which is curved at 6 adjacent to the shank or bar.
What I claim is- The design for a nail-extractor, as herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own I have hereto aflixed my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
' CHARLES P. LITTLEPAGE.
