Application filed June l2, 1899. SerialNo. 720,299. Term of patent 14 years.
To @ZZ whom it may concern.'
Be it known that I, ARTHUR B. CLUNIEs, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Rochester, in the county of Monroe and tate of New York, have invented and produced anew and original Design for a Fire-Pot Lining-Section, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanyin g drawings, forming a part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective View of a lire-pot lining-section, showing my design, looking at the front side; Fig. 2, a similar View looking at the rear corner; Fig. 3, a perspective view showing the bottoni and one end, and Fig. 4 an end View.
The characteristic feature of my design is the shape or configuration of the lining-section as a whole.
The front. face 1 of the section is curved forwardly near one end and terminates in the rib 2, arranged at an angle relative to the top and bottom lines, and beyond said rib is the substantially flat surface 3. The upper face 4t of the section is substantially flat and extends in the same plane, excepting at one end, where it curves upwardly at 5 to the narrower flat surface 6, the forward edge of the upper face being rounded at 1G. The end face 7 of the section extends at a slight anglo to the plane of the front surface and has 3o the rounded edge S at the upper portion, below which rounded portion is a groove 9, as shown in Fig. 3. The bottom of the section beneath the end '7 is cut away, forming the surface 10, inclined relative to the front and 35 back of the article, and the front edge is also cut away at l1, leaving the projecting surface 12. The end of the bottom face is also slightly inclined at v13. The end 14E of the section is cut away on the rear side at 15, as 4c shown in Fig. 2, and is provided with therecess 17, extending to the bottom, and the rear face 18 is a substantially plane surface, hav ing the outline shown in Fig. 2.
I clairn- 45 The design for a iire-pot lining-section substantially as herein shown and described.
