The sides 6 and 7 are slightly bowed and they diverge from each other in a forward direetion, while the front edge is formed with a rather prominent central projection 8, extending forwardly and tapering uniformly.
This projection is rounded or arched across 30 its length and it has the appearance somewhat of the frog of a horses hoof.
At each side of the base of the central projection 8 is formed a curved depression or groove-like place 9, and between each of these 3 5 depressions and the side edges 6 and 7, of the piece is a flat surface 10. As clearly indicated in the drawings the rear and side walls of this piece are inclined slightly out of the vertical while the entire front wall is com- 40 The design for a hoof-pad substantially as 45 herein shown and described.
