DESIGN FOR A TEAPOT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 36,297, dated April 28, 1903.
Application filed March '7, 1903. Serial No. 146,766. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, AUSTIN F. J AOKSON, of Taunton, in the county of Bristol and State of Massachusetts, have invented anew, original, and ornamental Design for Teapots, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a specification.
Figure 1 is a side view illustrating a teapot, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is aplan View of the top of the teapot with the cover removed. Fig. 3 is a cross-section on the line w 00, Fig. 1. Fig. 4 is a plan View looking at the bottom of the teapot. Fig. 5 is a crosssection of the spout on the line y y, Fig. 1. Fig. 6 is a cross-section on the line .2 a, Fig. 1.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my ornamental design consists of a teapot having an irregular elliptical body portion, the lower part of which is enlarged and having the opening at the top of the pot concave or curved when viewing the pot from its sides, and a panel is formed on each side of the body portion, said panel merging into the body portion near the top and bottom of the body, as shown in the accompanying drawings. The bead at the top of the teapot has an ornamental scroll at each side, and the handle and spout are also provided with scrollwork, as shown in the drawings.
Having thus described my invention, what I desire to secure by Letters Patent is- The ornamental design for a teapot, as herein shown and described.
