DESIGN FOR A WATER-FRONT FOR STOVES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,183, dated August 9, 1898.

Be it known that 1, JOHN W. KENNEDY, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Rochester,eoun ty of Monroe, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for ater-Fronts for Stoves and Ranges, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, formiuga part thereof.
Figure 1 is aperspective view of the waterfront and Fig. 2 a plan View of the same.
The leading feature of my design is the general shape or configuration of the waterfront, and particularly of the top and ends.
The upper face or panel 1 extends at a slight angle relative to the front face or panel 2, and the rear line of the panel 1 is substantially straight, as shown in Fig. 2, excepting at the ends, one of which has the rounding 2o corner extending into the recess 3 and upon the other end has steps 4 and 5 and the curved portion [3. The front panel 2 is curved slightly outward at 7 upon the right-hand end to meet an extended portion 8 of the face, which latter is rounded ell upon its outer end and said rounded portion is also curved outward at the bottom to meet the small panel 10. Arranged upon the bottom of this panel is a flange 11, and at the top of the face 8 is a recess 12. Upon the end of the water-front are the openings or apertures 13 and 1t, and be tween them is the recess 15, having the inclined walls.
The left-hand end of the waterfront extends slightly forward at 16 in a reverse curve extending to the rear of the face 2 to meet the plane surface 17, arranged at a slight angle relative to the front 2. The outer edge of said plane is cutaway upon the curve 18. A flange 19 projects from the lower end of the 0 portion 10, and beneath this is aeurved recess 20. In the upper corner is a recess 21, having the rounded outer end.
