To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JOHN W. KENNEDY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Rochester, Monroe county, New York State, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Fire-Pot Linings for Stoves and Ranges, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective View of my design; Fig. 2, a top plan view of the same.
The leading feature of my design consists in the general shape and configuration of the fire-pot lining, as shown.
The front face 1 of the lining is curved and flares outwardly and upwardly from the bottom, the curve of the latter being seini-elliptieal. The rear of the top is substantially straight, as in Fig. 2, being cut away at one end to form the angular recess 2, and at the opposite end of the lining the top slopes downwardly and outwardly to form the rounded corner 3 above the substantially straight edge 4. To the right of the rounded corner the flare in the top is extended somewhat, as at 5, and upon the under side of this extension is a lug U. The opposite or left-hand side of the lining extends baekwardly and upwardly from the base, as shown, and is recessed at 6 below the overhanging rounded corner 9 of the upper face. The lower edge of the lining is formed bythe narrow flange l0. Arranged centrally upon the face 1 and near the top is a lug or projection 11.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for a firepot lining, substantially as shown and described.
