DESGN FOR A WATER-FRONT FOR STOVES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,243, dated April 23, 1895.
Application filed March 15,1395. Serial No. 541.952. Term of patent 14 years.
1'0 ai& whom z't may conccrn:
Be it known that I, ARTHUR B. CLUNIES, a, citizen of the United States, residiug at Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for lVater-F'onts for Stoves and Ranges, of which the following is a speoifioation, reference being had to the aocompanying drewings, showing the same.
In the drawings:--Figure 1 is a, perspective view of the water-front; Fig. 2, a perspeetive View of the end opposite the one shown in Fig. 1; Fig. 3, a cross-seetional View; Fig. 4, a longtudinal-seotonal View looking down.
The leading feature of my design is the ehape OP con figuration of the wate'- front. The general shepe of the water-front is teetangula' in cross-section with a. longitudinal fiange 1 at the upper real' side, and on its front portion are two ribs or projeetions 2 and 3, which on their proximate sides are rounded and gradually merge into the surface of said front. The outeside 2 of the rib 2 is more abrupt than the inner side and beyond it is a plane surface 4 and at the lower end of this,
a flange 5 extending also on the more ahrupt side of the rib. In one end of the water-front are the apertures G and 7, and between them the recess 8, while the rear side of said end is cut-away or ehamfered at 9.
The end shown in Fig. 2 has the web 10 projecting in the plane of the body, the fiange ll overhanging the real' of said web and having a shoulder 12 in line with the web 10. The end of the flange 11 is rounded at 11 and a shoulder 13 is formed just hack of said rounded portion. The front face 14: of the web 10 is substantiallyin the plane of the face of the article, and the outer surface 15 of the rib 3 forms an obtuse angle with said surface 14:. A fiange 16 projects from the lower portion of this end of the article being joined to the surfaees 1% and 15.
What I claim is- The design for a water-front for stoves and ranges suhstantially as shown and described.
