Be it known that I, MARY SnEnwoon, a citizen of the United States, residing at llaltimore, in the State of Maryland, have invented or produced a new and original Design for School-Desk Bodies, oi which the following is a specification.

The object of this design is to provide a novel school-desk body which is handsome, ornamental, presents a characteristic, distinguishing, and s vmineiriea'il appearance to the eye, and possesses a peculiar and desirable eoniiguration.

'lhelcadingfealureofihc design is a schooldeslc having an inclined top, end panels with beveled or inclined front edges, a beveled or inclined panel portion across the front below the front edge of the top, and an underlying chamber formed by vertical and horizontal portions located between the end panels,

The invention is illustrated by the aecompanying drawings, in which-- Figure l is a perspective view ofthe schooldesk body, looking at the top thereof. Fig. is a perspective view looking atthe bottom of the same; and Fig. 3 is a sectional view taken through the bodjT from front to rear to more clearly illustrate tle coniigu ratioinforni, or shape.

In the accompanying drawings, illustrating my design, the numerals l indicate the end panels; 2, the inclined back panel; 3, the depressed bottom panel, and t the inclined top. The end panels 1 are formed at their front edges with bevels or inclines 5 and G, arranged at different angles of inclination, and the beveled or inclined panel portions 7 and S extend across the front portion of the desk-body below the front edge of the inclined top. The beveled or inclined panel poi-tions 7 andS are at diierent angles of inclination, corresponding approximately to the beveled or inclined edges 5 and G of the end panels l. The bottom of the desk-bodyeontains an underlying chamber formed by the vertical wall or portion 9 and the horizontal wall or portion l0, the latter containing a groove 12.

The general contour across the front of the deskbody produced bv the duplex bevel 7 S, in connection with the underlying chamber and the duplex beveled front edges of the end panels, produce a school-desk body which is handsome and ornamental and presents a characteristic, distinguishing, and symmetrical appearance, While it possesses a peculiar and desirable configuration.

That I claim is- The design for a school-desk body, substantially as described and shown.
