DESIGN FOR A MEDICINE-CASE AND DESK.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,710, dated May 24, 1898.

Be it known that I, IVILLIAM S. COOPER, a citizen of the United States, residing at North Birmingham, in the county of Jefferson and State of Alabama, have invented a new and original Design for a Medicine-Case and Desk, of which thc following is a specification.

This invention relates to a new and original design for a medicine-ease and desk; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.

The leading feature of the design resides in an approximately rectangular body having its rear wall extended beyond the top and bottom thereof and its side pieeesalso provided with extended ends having inclined scalloped edges meeting the top and bottom extensions of said rear wall, said body being further provided with transverse rods or bars arranged parallel with the top and bottom of the body and connecting the projecting scalloped ends of said side pieces.

A minor feature of the design resides in the front wall of the rectangular body being provided in its outer face with a rectangular mirror-panel and a plain rectangular panel beneath the latter.

In the drawings, Figure l is a perspective view of a medicinecase and desk embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a front view thereof. Fig. 3 is a side view of the same.

Referring to the accompanying drawings, the numeral l designates an approximately rectangular body having a rectangular front wall 2, which is provided in its outer face with an inlaid rectangular mirrorpanel 3 and with a plain rectangular sunken panel at beneath said mirror-panel 3. The rear Wall of the rectangular body l is provided with extensions 5, projected beyond the top and bottom of the body, and the side pieces 6 of the bodyare also provided with extended end portions 7, having inclined scalloped edges 8, which extend, respectively, from the top and bottom of the body to the edges of the rear wall extensions 5.

The design is completed by the transverse rounded rods or bars 9, arranged parallel with the top and bottom ot the body and connecting the projecting scalloped ends 7 of the side pieces 6.

That I claim is- The design for the medicine-case and desk herein shown and described.
