JOSEPH LEON GOBEILLE, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO, ASSIGNOR T 0 THE SYRACUSE STOVE WORKS, OF SYRACUSE, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,737, dated October 23, 1394.
Application filed August 20. 1894- Berial No. 520,345. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that LJosEPH LEON GoBEILLE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Ouyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had tothe accompanying drawing, showing a part thereof.
The single figure of the drawing serves to fully illustrate the design, which is comprised, chiefly, in the appearance of the front of the stove or range. This front, however, is only possible in a stove of the peculiar style or formation here shown, so that the style of the stove determines the character of the design. Thus, the stove shows a fire box or pot at its middle transversely, and at the front of this and part of the design is the slightly ornamented door a, with rows of draft openings b and c above and below, respectively. On either side of this central door aare large doors -dhaving the appearance of even doors, and both are of the same size and design throughout and each has scroll work in quite large figures across its top and bottom, and a central piece e in relief containing an ornamental figure in its own center.
Along the bottom of the stove are three other doors f, g and -h, corresponding in arrangement to the larger doors above and having large figured ornamentation peculiar to themselves as part of the design, the style of ornamentation on the two side doors being alike, and the central door having somewhat different ornamentation from these but harmonizing with them.
An interlaced border 7' extends from top to bottom of the front corners of the stove, and a scalloped projecting edge -k forms an attractive skirting along the lower edge of the stove.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patout, is
The design for a stove substantially as herein shown and described.
JOSEPH LEON GOBEILLE. lVitnesses:
H. T. FIsHER, M. G. NORTON.
