DESIGN FOR A PLATE OR SIMILAR ARTICLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,799, dated March 11, 1902.

To all whom it may concern:
136 it known that I, CHARLES J. AHREN- FELDT, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of New York, county of New York, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Plate or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forminga part thereof.
In the said drawings, Figure l is a plan view Fig. 2 is a vertical cross-section of the same.
The panel a consists of two interlocked shields having a scroll a between their-interlocking parts. From eitherside of this panel proceed tripleleafedornamentsb,andfrom the inner end of the same a similar ornament Z), supplemented by the group of stems bearing bud-like ornaments c. The leafed ornaments at the sides and end of the panel are connected by smaller clusters of stems and buds c.
either side of the centerpiece thus formed are scrolls e and f, and their ornaments (Z, similar to c. This ornamentation is repeated a number of times, the ditferent ornaments being connected by scrolls 1', having leafed ornaments g projecting therefrom and bud bearing stems h, similar to b and 0, respectively, the whole forming a continuous border. The centerpiece consists of a panel on, having on its four sides ornamentsj 7c, which are arepetition of Z) 0, connected by budded stems Z, similar to c.
What I claim is The design for a plate or similar article substantially as herein shown and described.
