DESIGN FOR A FURNACE-FRONT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,571, dated June 27, 1893.
Application filed February 28,1893. Serial No. 464,108. Term ofpntent 7 years.
To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, THOMAS I. RANKIN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a new and original Design for a Fnrnaee-I ront, of which the following is a specification.
My design for a heating furnace front is fully illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1, is a view illustrating the frontin perspective; and Fig. 2, is a section on the line 12, Fig. 1.
The body A of the front has a border B at each side and top ornamented with raised detached panels, and at each upper corner is a quadrangular ornamentation. The bodyA is rounded as shown in the sectional view Fig. 2, while the fire door E and ash pit door F are fiat. Above the fire door in each corner, are
fan-shaped ornaments, and there isa band below the said door. Surrounding the body A is a frame D, theinner edge (lbeingdepressed some distance back of the outer edge (1', and this frame is ornamented by a series of rounded ribs extending from the outer edge to the inner edge, and a plain border surrounds the outer edge of the frame.
I claimlhe design for a heating-furnace front as herein described and shown in the accompanying drawings.
