DESIGN FOR A CAP FOR TEETH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,876, dated December 27, 1898.
Application filed November 80, 1898. Serial No. 697,917! Term of patent 7 years.
To (LIZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, ALLEN W. SMITH and HENRY McDowELL, citizens of the United States, residing at the city of New York, (Parkville, borough of Brooklyn,) in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Gap for Teeth, of which the following is a specification, reference beinghad to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, in which is represented a perspective view of a cap for teeth embodying the features of our design.
The design consists in a body A of tapering contour, the front of which is defined by an upper concaved surface a and a lower eonvexed surface CL, while the sides are defined by an upper eonvexed surface a from the lower portion of which inclined surfaces a are rearwardly proj eoted, which surfaces ineet convened rear lines a. The back of the cap simulates a tongue 13, the upper portion of which is curved in a rearward direction or away from the upper surface a of the body. The lines I) of the front edge of the tongue below its upper portion are concaved and meet the lower portions of the rear convexed lines a of the body, while the rear lines of the ton gue are oonvexed below the upper portion, as shown at U, said convened lines I) merging into downwardly and forwardly inclined lines N, that connect with the bottom portion of the front oonvexed section of the body.
