DESIGN FOR A CANE OR UMBRELLA HANDLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,994, dated July 1, 1890.
Application filed Apr-U16, 1890. Serial No. 348,092. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY A. WEIHMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia; and 5 State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cane or Umbrella. Handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings,forming part thereof.
In the drawings, Figures 1 and 2 are two side elevations of a cane or umbrella handle embodying my new design.
A is the body part, and swells in the middle and is contracted at both top and bottom,
I 5 being bounded at the top by an annular band E of ornamental work and at the bottom by an annular band G of ornamental Work. This body portion is formed with depressed grooves F,arranged slightly at a spiral, as shown,and
is plain, except on the portions II upon one side and the portions I upon the other side, which are highly ornamented. The body part is surmounted by an enlarged head B, having the annular ornamental band D and the plain cap or top 0.
The handle is made of any suitable material.
