DESIGN FOR A CANE OR UMBRELLA HANDLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,971, dated July 1, 1890.
Apulioation filed April 16, 1890. Serial No. 348,096. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY A.WEIHMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cane or Umbrella Handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
In the drawing is shown a side elevation of a cane or umbrella handle illustrating my new design.
A is the body part, and is slightly extended as it curves upward, terminating in the rounded plain cap B. Near the lower portion of the body part it is contracted by the annular band C, which is highly ornamented, and extending upwardly and downwardly over said annular band are a series of vertical ribs D. The body part A above the ribs D is ornamented, as indicated at E. The lower part of the body is finished by an annular band F of ornamentation and a band G of plain work.
The handle is made of any suitable material.
Having now described my new design, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for cane or umbrella handles, substantially as herein described and shown.
In testimony of which invention I have hereunto set my hand.
