DESIGN FOR A CANE OR UMBRELLA HANDLE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,968, dated July 1, 1890.

Application filed April 15, 1890. Serial No. 348,084. Term of patent 3% years.

Be it known that I, HENRY A. \VEIHMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cane or Umbrella Handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

Referring to the drawing, A represents the body of the handle, which is made slightly tapering, decreasing from the top to the bottom, and havinga rounded or smooth head B and a slightly-enlarged band at the bottom 0. The body portion consists of spiral or helical parts D E, the former being of plain surface and slightly concave, while the latter are ornamented to indicate feathers. These parts D and E are arranged alternately, as shown.

The handle is made of any suitable mate- 2o rial.

Having now described my new design, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design for an umbrella or cane handle, 25 substantially as herein described and shown. In testimony of which invention I have hereunto set my hand.
