SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,551, dated March 3, 1891.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HENRY O. SCHMIDT, a citizen of the United States, residing in New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cane or Umbrella. Handles, of which the following is a specification,refe1'- once being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

In the drawing is shown a side elevation of a cane or umbrella handle illnstratingmy new design.

The shank A extends upwardly and terminates on the one hand in a crook B and on the other in a rearwardly-extending point (3. The lower part of the shank A is finished by an annular band I) of ornamentation.

The sides of the shank A and crook L are ornamented with a design clearly shown in the drawing.

The handle may be made of any suitable material.

Having now described my design, what 1 claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for cane or umbrella handles, substantially as herein described and shown.
