DESIGN FOR A CANE OR UMBRELLA HANDLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,553, dated March 3, 1891.
Application filed February 6, 1891 Serial No. 380,512. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY O. SCHMIDT, a citizen of the United States, residing in New York, in the county and State of New York,
5 have invented and produced a new and original Design for (Jane or Umbrella Handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
In the drawing is represented a side eleva tion of a new design for a cane or umbrella handle.
It consists of the upwardly-extending shank A and the horizontal portion B. The adja- 15 cent edges of the parts A and B are formed with a smooth surface 0, and the sides are formed with roughened work D, and the sides of the parts A and l; opposite to the part (I are ornamented by the leaf-Work design E F, the points of which substantially meet at H. The lower part of the body portion A is mounted with a band G.
The handle may be made of any suitable material.
Having now described my design, What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for cane or umbrella handles, substantially as herein described and shown.
