Be it known that I, HENRY O. SCHMIDT, a citizen of the United States, residing in New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cane or Umbrella Handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
In the drawing is shown a side elevation of an umbrella or cane handle illustrating my new design.
A is the body part, and is slightly rounded in its configuration, being larger at the top and curved over at its upper part to form a rounded shoulder. The body part A is surmounted by a curved cap or head B of plain surface. The body part is ornamented by slightly spiral or oblique grooves C extending around it, and also with ornamentations D E E, the former being at or about its middle and the latter being close tothe base portion.
F is the base part, and consists of a large band curved upon its outer portion and highly ornamented. The base part F is separated from the body part A by an annular band G of plain surface, and is relieved on its lower part bya second annular band H of plain surface.
The body part A is of plain surface and may be relieved by shaded work adjacent to the ornamentations D and E.
The handle is made of any suitable material.
Having now described my new design, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
