Be itknown that I, HENRY 0. SCHMIDT, a citizen of the United States, residing in New York, in the county and State of New York,
5 have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cane orUmbrella Handles, of which the following is a specification, referen ce being had to the aeeompan yi ng drawing, forming part thereof.
In the drawing is represented a side elevation of a cane or umbrella handle illustrating my new design.
The shank A extends upwardly and terminates on one hand in a crook I5 and on the otherin an upwardly-extendingknob C. The top of the crook B is ornamented, as at E. Likewise one side of the shank A is ornamented, as at F. The rest of the shank A and crook 13, as well as the knob (l, are made of smooth work. The base of the shank A is 24 ornamented by an annular band 1), highly ornamented.
The handle may be made of any suitable material.
Having now described my design, what I 25 claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for cane or umbrella handles, substantially as herein described and shown.
