SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,990, dated July 1, 1890.
Application filed April 15, 1890. Serial No. 348,085. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY A. VVEIHMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cane or Umbrella Handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
In the drawing is shown a side elevation of a cane or umbrella handle illustrating my new design.
A is the lower portion of the body, and extends upwardly and over into the crook B. The lower part of the body A is relieved by the falling ribbed portion G, terminating at its upper part and upon each side in the spiral H. The crook B has its point (3 formed with a spiral band each side, and its lower end is brought so as to butt against the upper end of the body part at D and terminates in the spirals I, one of which is located upon each side of the handle. Rounded projections are placed at this juncture of I and H. The up per portion of the handle is of plain surface, with relief about the spirals and part G of shaded surface. The base of the body portion A is formed of a large annular band E,
namented, and this is mounted at the bottom upon an annular band of plain surface F.
The handle is made of any suitable material.
Having now described my new design, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for cane or umbrella handles, substantially as herein described and shown. In testimony of which invention I have hereunto set my hand.
