Be it known that I, WINTHEor L. JACOBS, of East Orange, New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph isa face view ofa carpet showing my new design.

The main feature of my design is the distribution at varied intervals of a flower form having a circular center and radial arms or leaves differently outlined and ornamented projecting therefrom upon a close ground of stem or vine like work, having some smaller 20 star-shaped and other flower forms interspersed.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
