SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,662, dated August 23, 1887.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, \VILLIAM E. SAYERS, of New York city, in the county and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design 5 for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be IO worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face view 15 of a carpet showing my new design.

My design is composed of a variety of circular flower forms, varying in size and orna- Serial No. 344,939.
