SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,635, dated September 25, 1888.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Wnwrnnor L. J AOOBS, of the city of East Orange, county of Essex,and State of New Jersey, have invented anew and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph isa face view ofa carpet showing my new design.

My design consists of a body part, A, and a border, B.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. The design for carpets, consisting of the body part A, substantially as shown.

2. The design for carpets, consisting of the border B, substantially as shown.

3. The design for carpets, consisting of the body part A and the border B, substantially as shown.
