DESIGN FOR A CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,634, dated September 25, 1888.

Application filed August 29. 1888. Serial No. 284,092.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WINTHROP L. JACOBS, of the city of East Orange, county of Essex, and State of New Jersey, haveinvented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet showing my new design.

Term of patent 3} years.

My design consists of a body part, A, and a border, B.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. The design for carpets, consisting of the 20 body part A, substantially as shown.

2. The design for carpets, consisting of the border B, substantially as shown.

3. The design for carpets, consisting of the body part A and the border B, substantially 25 as shown.
