DESIGN FOR A CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,568, dated August 28, 1888. Application filed July 23, 1888. Serial No. 280,799. Term of patent 3Q years To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HENRY HORAN. of East Orange, county of Essex, and State of New J ersey, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet showing my new design.

My design consists of a body part, A, and a border, B.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. The design for carpets, consisting of the 20 body part A, substantially as shown.

2. The design for'carpets, consisting of the border B, substantially as shown.

3. The design for carpets, consisting of the body part A and the border B, substantially 25 as shown.
