UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
VVILLI'AM ll'l'ASTERS, OF KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR A STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,692, dated May 18, 1886.
Application filed March 11, 1886. Serial No. 194,893. Term of patent Tyears.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM Miis'rnns, a citizen of the United States, residing at Kansas City, in the State of Missouri, have in- 5 vented and produced a new and original Design for Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the ac-' companyiug photographic illustration.
In this illustration a front perspective view of my newly'designed stove is shown.
My present invention consists in the novel design for a stove hereinafter described, illustrated in theaccompanying photographic view, and particularly defined in the claim at the end of the specification.
A designates the fire-pot of the stove, which is cylindrical in general contour, the lower portion being of somewhat reduced diameter, as seen at a. Above the fire-pot A is the portion 13, of general cylindrical shape, with diameter diminishing from the top plate, 0, to the contracted part b, which joins the fire-pot A. The top plate, 0, is flat upon its upper surface, and is provided with suitable covers, a, and pipe-collar 0'. Below the fire-pot A is the grate-ring D, which rests upon the flat upper surface of the base E. The base E is of general truncated pyramidal shape, the several corners being cutaway, as seen ate. 30 The upper portion of the base is contracted,
as at c, and above such point is provided with the raised ornamental figures e. The lower portion of the base is ornamented with the raised pattern seen at e. The front of the base E is provided with a door, E, having 35 openings e therein and rim a", but otherwise corresponding in general outline and configuration to the sides of the base.
Beneath the base E is the bottom F, that is flat on its upper face, and has its edge f folo lowing in general outline the sides of the base E. The feet G, whereon the bottom rests, are of irregular shape shown, having the party with inclined sides y and with the raised crosslike figure 9' upon its face. Beneath the part 45 g the feet are contracted and inwardly curved, as at g, to the end part, the sides whereof inclined, as shown.
I claim- The design for a stove comprising the fire- 5o pot A, of general cylindrical shape, the portion B, larger than the fire-pot, the top 0, the four-sided base E, the bottom F, and the feet G, the whole design having substantially the general configuration shown.
WILLIAM MASTERS.
