DESIGN FOR A RANGE.

The Schedule referred to Lu these Letters Patent and making part of the name.

To all whom. it may concern Be it known that I, WILLIAM H. Bunnows, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Front and Fire-Place end of a Cooking-Stove, which I term the Danntless, and of which the following is a descrption with reference to the drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the stove;

Figure 2 is a prolile section of the stove taken through the oven-door;

Figure 3 is a similar section taken through the feeder and ash-pit door; and

Figure 4 is a like section of' the end of the stove.

Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both drawings.

On the base ot' the stove is a deep fillet, a, surmounted by an ovolo, b, above which is an ogee, o, sui-mounted by a fillet, d, above which is an ovulo, q, and another fillet, o', which is joined to the fiat face ot' the stove by a hollow curve. These same moldings also extend along the edges and top of the front and sides ot the stove, and are surincunted at the top by a cavetto, g, and ogee, o.

The edge ot' the top plate B consists of a fillet, o, surmouuted by an ovolo, f.

The oven-door C is of rectangular form, having rounded upper corners, and is bounded by moldings s, whose form is shown distinctly iu figs. 1 and 2, and having a bass-relief ornament, t, which is clearly represented in figs. 1 and 2 of the drawings.

The ash-pit door D curves outwardly toward its base, is bounded by moldings u whose shape is shown in figs. 1 and 3, and has a molding, o, surrounding the draught-wheel or disk in its lower portion, and above this` a circular cup-like cavity, into which the end of the grate-spindle extends, and over which, arranged in the forni of an arch, is the word Dauntless.

Above this doo? is the feeder F, the door ot' which is inclined, and is bounded by moldings w, and furnished with a bass-relief ornament, x, similar, except that it is smaller, to the one, t, on the oven-door.

The draught-opening G, at the end of the stove, is raised from the face thereof, and is slightly inclined. It is bounded with moldings, y, the shape of' which is shown in fig. 4. Above this draught-opening is a panel bounded by a bead and inclosing an ornament, z, similar, except in size, to those on the oven-door and the feeder.

The legs L L of the stove are made to correspond with the general design of` the stove, and are ornainented with bass-reliei` figures a', similar in general design tb those on the body and doors ofthe stove.

That I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

lhe design for the front and fire-place end of'a stove, herein shown and described.
