To all whom it may concern Be it known that 1', WILLIAM MCCALLUM, of Yonkers, in the county of Westchester and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification.

sprays, and flower-like figures. From the center of this flower figure B starts a stem bearing buds and leaves, and running upward until it expands into'the flower figure A, somewhat resembling a tulip, from which in turn runs a leafy stem, which branches off on one side, and bearsat its end the circular flower-like figure E, apparently growing out of a cluster of leaves. From the same branch, extending froxfithe figure A, grows toward the left a 25 deeply-indented flower-like figure, D, with star-like center, and the main portion of the branch, running onward, terminates in the figure 0, which resembles a cluster of circular flowers surrounded by leafy foliage. The repo etition of the figures already described upon the background forms the design.
