DESIGN FOR A CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N o. 13,303, dated September 19, 1882. Application led August 1l, 1882. Term of patent 3Q years.
To all whom It may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY HUNT, of Greenville, in the State ot' New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a, specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for carpets and similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel grouping and configuration of figures hereinafter more fully described.
The accompanying photograph illustrates a face view of a carpet having my new design.
The background A is filled in with various irregularly shaped and disposed groups of small fret-work, mural work, and various small right-lined and circular tigures, as shown. Upon this ground are disposed the ower and leat' groups B, (J, D, and E and several smaller sprays among the large groups.
B is a group of large flowers resembling suuowers arranged alone,r a stem, which bears in addition open-leaf forms and buds and budsprays.
U is a geranium cluster with three flower groups and a central group of leaves and scat all arranged along a forking stem.
D is a thick cluster of small star-shaped dowers springing from a hunch of long llaglike leaves.
E is a iiower and leaf group arranged along a. common stem, having two large open tion'- ers and drooping bud sprays and leaves.
I claim- 1. The design for carpets, consisting ofthe ground A, substantially as shown.
2. The design for carpets, consisting ofthe group B, substantially as shown.
3. The design for carpets, consisting ot the group U, substantially as shown.
4. The design for carpets, consisting ofthe group D, substantially as shown.
5. The design for carpets, consisting of the group E, substantially as shown.
6. The design for carpets, consisting ofthe ground A, the groups 13,6, D, and E, and the intervening smaller groups, substantially as shown and described.
7. The design for carpets, consisting of the. groups B, C, D, and E and the intervening smaller groups, substantially as shown.
