DESIGN FOR A CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,676, dated February 27, 1883,
Application filed January 25, 1883. Term of patent- 3; years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JULIUs S. MEYER, of New York city, in the State of New York, have invented a. new and original Design for Car- 5 pets, of which the following is a specification. This invention relates to a new and original des gn for carpets and similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel grouping and configuration of figures hereinafter more fully described. The accompanying photograph illustrates a. face View of a carpet having my new design.
The ground a is filled in with small diagonally-arranged figures, with larger geometric, fan-like, and circular figures occurring at irregular intervals. On this ground are four flower groups, A, B, O, and D, each consisting of central flower and leaf masses, with projecting sprays bearing flowers and blossoms.
The design as a whole presents an open ap- 2o pearanoe. I claim- 1. The design for a ground for a. carpet, consisting of the ground a substantially as shown and described.
2. The design for a carpet, consisting of the group A, substantially as shown and described.
3. The design for a carpet, consisting of the group B,substantiallyasshown and described.
4. The design for a carpet, consisting of the group C, substantially as shown and described.
5. The design for a carpet, consisting of the group D,substantiallyas shown and described.
6. The design for a. carpet, consisting of the groups A, B, C, and D, substantially as shown and described.
7. The design for a carpet, consisting of the groups A, B, C, and D and the ground a, substantially as shown and described.
