To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JULIUs S. MEYER, of New York, N. Y., have invented a. new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.
The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.
The aceom pan yin gphotogmph is a face view a carpet showing my new design. The ground a is loosely filled in bya system of variegated small geometric work. Over this ground are disposed four large flower-andleefgronps. A has a central mass of geraniumleaves and small flowers with ferns projecting below and blossom-and-leaf sprays above. B has a central mass of open flowers and leaves, with projecting fern and blossom sprays and a scattered trailing leaf-spray below. 0 has two large open flowers on a mass of leavesand small projecting sprays. D has two large geranium-le'wes above a. mass of small flowers and leaves,and projecting fern and leaf sprays.
I claim-- 1. The design for :1. carpet, consisting of the group A, suhstantiallyas shown and described. 2. The design for a carpet, consisting of the group O, substantiallyasshown and described. 3. The design for a carpet, consisting of the group 0, substantially as shown and described. 4. The design for a carpet, consisting of the group D, substantially asshown and described. 5. The design for a carpet, consisting of the groups A, B, G, and D and the ground a, substantially as shown and described.
