To all whont it may concern:

Be it known that I, OTTO llIiINlGKE, of New Utrecht, New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets. of which the following is a specification, rcl'erence being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

Theinvention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

lhe accompanying photograph is afacc view of a carpet showing my new design.

The design consists of three open flower and leaf groups, A, B, and C.

The group A is shown in the center of the photograph in all its details. It consists of various large leaves loosely massed, as shown, and small open flowers and blossom sprays. Its white lichen-like sprays below approach but do not blend with the dark sprays of the groups B and C, and above and on the right its dark sprays similarly approach the white sprays of the group 0.

The group B is shown at the upper and lower corners of the photograph on the right and at the center on the left. It consists of two groups of star-shaped flowers and leaves springing from an opeirlcntgroup below, and 0 OTTO HElNlGKE.
