DESIGN FOR A CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,442, dated November 21, 1882.
Application filed August 11,1882. Term of patent- 3! years.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, HENRY HORAN, of East Orange, in the State of New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets,
5 of which the following is a. specification.
' This invention relates to a new and original design for carpets and similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel grouping and configuration of figures hereinafter more fully described.
:0 The accompanying photograph illustrates a face view of a carpet having my new design.

Scattered over the rest of the ground are various smaller groups and clusters of flowers and leaves, as shown in the 0 accompanying photograph.
I claim- 1. The design for carpets. consisting of the grounds a and 11, substantially as shown.
2. The design for carpets, consisting of the 5 groups A, B, and C,and the intervening smaller groups. substantially as shown.
3. The design for carpets, consisting of the groupsA, B, and C, and theintervening smaller groups, and the grounds a and b, substantially 40 as shown and described.
