DESIGN FOR CENTER-PIECE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 11,328, dated August 12, 1879; application filed July 2, 1879.
[Term of patent 7 yeara] To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY BERGER, of the city, county, and State of New York, have iuven ted a new Design for Cen terPiece, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact descrip tion, reference being had tothe accompanying photograph, which represents a face view of in y design.
My design consists in a central shield formed of a rosette, a series of leaves, and a circular band, in combination with a series of cuneiform projections surrounding said shield and alternately terminating in ornamental escutcheons and in arabesques, which are arranged on a circular panel, whereby I obtain a design preseating a handsome and distinguishing appearance.
In the drawing, the letter A designates a rosette, B are a series of leaves, and Gis a circular band, composing the central figure or shield of my design, the leaves B being arranged in a circle around the rosette and the band C being made to surround the leaves. Next the circular band C are a series of cuneiform projections, D, which alternately termia nate in ornamental escutcheons E and arabesques F, while these escutcheons and arabesques rest on the surface of a panel, G, having a circular form, and project slightly bcyond the edge of said panel.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a centerpiece consisting of a central* shield' formed of a rosette, A, a series of leaves, B, and a circular band, C, in combination with a series of cuneiform projections, D, surrounding said central shield, and alternately terminating in ornamental escutehcons E and in arabesques F, which are arranged on a circular panel, substantially as shown and described.
