Description
H. BERGER.
CENTER PIECE. No. 9,641. Patente UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
Y HENRY BERGER, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
l DESIGN Fon CENTER-PIECES.
Specification forming part of Design No. 9,641, dated November 21, 1876; application tiled November 10, 1876.
[Term of Patent 14 yeara] To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, HENRY BERGER, of the city, county, and State of New York, have originated and designed a Patern for Center Pieces, ofV which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying photographic illustration, which shows a face View of my design.
My design consists ot'a central panel, formed of double elliptic segments, and bearing an ornamental rosette, in connection with an exterior elliptic wreath of leaves, flowers, and shells. The central panel is formed by ornamental molding, interposed between it and the exterior Wreath; and the molding contains scrolls, while partly across and partly beneath the molding extend stems appertaining to the exterior Wreath.
The letter A designates the central panel of my design; and B is an ornamental rosette, situated in a central position on the panel. This rosette B consists of a bud fringed with leaves, which are surrounded with scroll-Work and leaves, as shown. C C are two elliptical segments, constituting the molding, by which the central panel A is formed, the molding being ornamented with scrolls D, in addition to minor ornaments. The letter E designates stems, which emerge from the rosette B and extend partially across and partially beneath the segments ofmolding C C, whence the stems take up a proper position relatively to owers F and leaves Gr, which, together with shells H, form an exterior Wreath to my design.
By these characteristic features I obtain a design presenting a novel and distinguishing appearance.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
W. HAUFE, E. F. KASTENHUBER.
