Description

如已知,一白光光源之相關色溫(CCT)係藉由將其色調與一理論、加熱黑體輻射器相比較而決定。CCT係以凱式(Kelvin,K)為單位來表示,且對應於放射與光源相同的白光色調的黑體輻射器之溫度。現今,來自一白光光源之色溫主要係藉由用來產生光的機構而決定。例如,白熾光源始終提供約3000K的一相對低色溫,稱為"暖白色"。相反地,螢光始終提供約7000K的一較高色溫,稱為"冷白色"。當購買光源或當完成建築物設計或構造時,可決定暖或冷白色的選擇。在許多情況中(例如街道照明),暖白色與冷白光係一起使用。
白色發光二極體(LED)在技術中係已知,且係相當最近的創新。直到在電磁光譜的藍色/紫外線部分中發射LED發展之後,其才變成實際基於LED來發展白光光源。如已知,白光產生LED("白色LED")包括一磷光體材料,即一光致發光材料,其吸收由LED發射輻射的一部分,並重新發射一不同顏色的輻射(波長)。典型上,LED晶粒或晶片在光譜的可見部分會產生藍光,且磷光體會重新發射黃光、或綠光與紅光、綠光與黃光、或黃光與紅光之組合。

由於具有長操作壽命(可能多達100,000小時)、及其高效率(從低功率消耗的觀點),所以白色LED潛在取代白熾、螢光與霓虹燈光源係可預測。最近,高亮度白色LED已用來取代習知的白色螢光、水銀蒸汽燈與霓虹燈。類似其他照明源,一白色LED的CCT係固定,且係由用來製造LED之磷光體組成物所決定。

根據本發明,一種色溫可調之白光光源包含:一第一發光二極體LED配置,其可操作用以發射一第一波長範圍的光;及一第二發光二極體LED配置,其可操作用以發射一第二波長範圍的光,該等LED配置係組態以致於包含光源之輸出之其組合光輸出會出現白色;其特徵為該第一LED配置包含:一磷光體,該磷光體係遠離一相關聯的第一LED而提供,其可操作用以產生一選定波長範圍的激發能量,及照射該磷光體,以致於其發射一不同波長範圍的光,其中由第一LED配置所發射的光包含來自第一LED之組合光、與來自磷光體所發射的光;及控制構件,其可操作用以藉由控制兩個LED配置之相對光輸出以控制色溫。在本專利申請案的上下文中,"遠離"係意謂在LED之製造期間,磷光體並未合併在LED中。

Claims (14)
- 一種色溫可調之白光光源,該光源包含:一第一LED配置,其可操作以發射一第一顏色之光,及一第二LED配置,其可操作以發射一第二顏色之光;其中該白光光源之光輸出呈現白色且包含來自該等第一及第二LED配置之光之一結合;該第一LED配置包含一磷光體,其遠離與該磷光體相關聯之至少一第一LED,該至少一第一LED可操作以產生一第一波長之激發光及照射該磷光體,該磷光體發射一不同波長範圍之光,其中由該第一LED配置所發射之光包含通過該磷光體且來自該至少一第一LED之光及自該磷光體所發射之光的結合,且其中該第二LED配置包含至少一第二LED,其中該磷光體係可由該至少一第一LED激發而不可由該至少一第二LED激發,及控制電路,其可操作以產生用於操作該等至少一第一及第二LED之功率,且其中由該白光光源所輸出之光之色溫係根據供應至該等至少一第一及第二LED之個別功率而可選擇。
- 如請求項1之光源,其中該第二LED配置包含一個別第二磷光體,其遠離該至少一第二LED並與該至少一第二LED相關聯,其中該至少一第二LED係可操作以產生一第二波長範圍之激發光,及照射該第二磷光體使該第二磷光體發射一不同波長範圍之光,其中由該第二LED配置所發射之光包含通過該第二磷光體來自該至少一第二 LED且通過該第二磷光體之光及自該第二磷光體所發射之光的結合。
- 如請求項1之光源,其中該控制電路係可操作以藉由控制供應至該等至少一第一及第二LED之功率以選擇該經輸出之光之色溫。
- 如請求項1之光源,其中該控制電路係可操作以藉由控制該等至少一第一及第二LED之驅動電流(IA,IB)及/或驅動電壓之相對振幅以選擇該經輸出之光之色溫。
- 如請求項1之光源,其中該控制電路係可操作以動態地切換該等至少一第一及第二LED之驅動功率,且其中該色溫係可藉由控制該驅動功率的一負載循環而調諧。
- 如請求項5之光源,其中該控制電路包含一脈衝寬度調變驅動功率,其用於操作該等至少一第一及第二LED。
- 如請求項6之光源,其中該等至少一第一及第二LED係在該脈衝寬度調變驅動功率之相反相位上操作。
- 如請求項1之光源,其中該第一LED配置包含複數個第一LED,及/或該第二LED配置包含複數個第二LED。
- 如請求項1之光源,其中該磷光體發射綠光且該第二LED配置發射紅光。
- 如請求項1之光源,其中該磷光體發射黃光且該第二LED配置發射紅光。
- 如請求項1之光源,其中由該第一LED配置所發射之光包含暖白光,其具有一範圍在2500K至4000K中之一色溫,及其中由該第二LED配置所發射之光包含冷白光,其具 有一範圍在6000K至10000K中之一色溫。
- 如請求項1之光源,其進一步包含複數個第一及/或第二LED配置,該複數個第一及/或第二LED配置之每一者係可操作以發射一第一顏色或一第二顏色之光。
- 如請求項1之光源,其中該等第一及第二LED配置係經組態使得該等第一及第二LED配置之光發射彼此分離。
- 如請求項1之光源,其中由該第一LED配置所發射之光係一第一色溫範圍之白光,且由該第二LED配置所發射之光係一第二色溫範圍之白光。
