植物中含有的活性元素在不同溫度下蒸發。舉例來說,可校準該裝置成為設立單一穩定溫度,以用於蒸發特定製品。可使用控制器來選擇各種溫度設定。使用者會基於使用的匣具類型來選擇溫度設定。該控制器還可以從機械上(譬如經由改變閥流速),或是從電子上(譬如經由電機閥和微控制器中介),來影響所要的溫度。舉例來說,為了改變本發明裝置的操作溫度,烘箱腔可相對於溫度調節器移動(譬如雙金屬盤)。
在本文中,菸草或菸草材料係定義為作愉悅或醫療用途之可蒸發的天然和人工材料的任何組合。在本發明的一個具體例中,使用經烘烤的菸草、甘油和調味劑來製備匣具。菸草製品製造領域的技術人員熟悉這些成分以及其他用於香煙、雪茄和相似物的成分。匣具的製造可經由將菸草切碎成細段來(舉例來說,少於2 mm直徑,較佳為少於1 mm)、添加其他成分並混合直到達到均勻一致性。在另一具體例中,匣具可經由將填充材料加工呈均勻糊狀之一致性來製備(舉例來說,粒子大小少於1 mm),例如經由使用螺旋填充機、蠕動泵或活塞泵有助於填充該匣具的加工過程。
較佳地,用於本發明裝置的或是含在本發明匣具內的材料包含至少一種蒸氣形成介質和提供使用者呼吸道中之觸覺反應的介質。來自插入裝置中之材料的氣霧化製品可為蒸氣相氣體以及小液滴的組合(後者構成吸入物質的可見部分),小液滴為蒸氣相的凝結且在氣體/空氣混合體中維持懸浮。
丙二醇(PG)、甘油或兩者的組合可用作為蒸氣形成介質。其他蒸氣形成介質可以使用於本發明的匣具和裝置。當加熱時,蒸氣形成介質用來產生可視蒸氣,譬如像是香煙的蒸氣。這蒸氣在介質吸入之前以及呼出期間為可視的。PG與甘油單獨相比具有一些優點,因為在相同溫度下它展現出更高的蒸氣壓,並允許裝置在較低的溫度下運作。降低操作溫度可節省能源,並且有可能進一步改善使用這個系統的健康好處。
經由周圍隔熱的特徵可以防止使用者接觸到熱的內部。一個例示性裝置可包括防止使用者接觸該裝置之必熱部分的隔熱體。較高的熱絕緣性為較佳的,如此一來該裝置表現出可能的最佳效率,同時對於使用者而言一個重要方面是感受到相對冷的表面溫度。可採用各種策略來滿足使用者對於裝置溫度的感受。可將該裝置包在具有足夠外用耐久性之隔熱材料中。供這個目的之材料有低熱傳導性和低熱容性(比熱)。這些特性的組合使得很少的熱被傳到使用者的手指。具有低熱傳導性和熱容性之材料的實例包括一些聚合物和陶瓷材料。另一個不同的策略是使用間隙特徵,來防止使用者直接接觸較高溫區域。這也可以使使用者手指和裝置的接觸區域最小化,以額外減少感受到的熱。間隙特徵的熱傳導性和比熱應儘可能地低。

Claims (13)

  1. 一種產生可吸入氣霧之裝置,該裝置包含: 一電子加熱器,包含: 一烘箱,其包含一烘箱腔;及 一撓性加熱電路附接至該烘箱,其中該撓性加熱電路被配置以在電流經過時加熱,並傳導地加熱該烘箱,藉此加熱該烘箱中之可蒸發材料以產生可吸入氣霧。
  2. 如請求項1之裝置,其中該撓性加熱電路包含一聚亞醯胺薄膜。
