Known side elements of lounge furniture include legs located in the frame of an armchair or sofa, and a shaped armrest in the form of a frame with upholstery filling or a frame made of a shaped rod. The subject of the industrial design is shown in a photograph, where Photo 1 shows the side element from a side view, Photo 2 shows the side element from a perspective view, Fig. 1 shows the side element from a side view, and Fig. 2 shows the side element from a perspective view. The side element of the lounge furniture piece, located on both sides of the armchair or sofa, is a section, preferably made of wood, with a rectangular cross-section. Each side element consists of a profiled section with a roughly vertical lower section, slightly recessed rearward, and above the seat, a gentle arc backwards, transitioning into the armrest, which is slightly curved downward. The space below, bounded by the width of the section, is filled with an upholstered panel. The area where the section transitions from the arc to the armrest is bounded at the top by the inner surface of the section, and at the bottom, in the front area, by a plane that transitions gently upwards to the section and connects to the section surface at its rearmost edge. The side elements are connected by lower and upper connectors, not shown in the drawing, on which the seat and backrest are mounted. The essential features of an industrial design, which is a side element of a lounge furniture, located on both sides of an armchair or sofa, is the external outline of the element, which is a profile, preferably made of wood, with a rectangular cross-section, wherein each of the side elements is a profile profiled in such a way that it has a lower part that is approximately vertical, slightly retracted towards the back, and above the seat it is bent in a gentle arc towards the back and passes into the part constituting the armrest, slightly bent downwards, and the space limited by the width of the profile is filled with an upholstered board, having in the area of the arc transition of the profile into the armrest a shaped space, limited from the top by the inner surface of the profile, and from the bottom in the front area by a plane passing in a gentle arc upwards to the profile and connecting with the surface of the profile in its extreme, rear zone.
