Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób wytwarzania pochodnych kwasu nikotynowego z nitrylu kwasu nikotynowego i alkoholi w podwyższonej temperaturze w obecności tlenku tytanu jako katalizatorów
Z opisu patentowego DE-A-27 14 767 znany jest sposób wytwarzania pochodnych kwasów karboksylowych przez reakcję w fazie gazowej nitryli z alkoholami i wodą przy użyciu stałych, zawierających metal katalizatorów, takich jak np. miedź, cynk, chrom, bizmut, mangan, żelazo, nikiel, kadm nanośnikachjaknp. Α^Ο3, SiO2, ZrO2 albo ΊΚΑ. Jako reakcję ubocznąznajduje się dehydratację i eteryfikację.
Przykładowo z opisu patentowego EP-A-412 310 znany jest sposób wytwarzania amidów kwasów karboksylowych przez, hydratację nitryli wodą przy użyciu zawierających mangan katalizatorów z wodą, które następnie można poddać reakcji z alkoholami przez katalizę kwasową, w obecności soli metali, np. według opisu patentowego US-A-4 613 684 albo w fazie gazowej na stałych katalizatorach, np. według opisu patentowego EP-A-561 614 albo z estrami kwasu mrówkowego przy tworzeniu formamidu, np. według opisu patentowego EP-A-392 361 na tlenkach metali, otrzymując pochodne kwasów karboksylowych.
Niedogodnościądla technicznego stosowaniajest dwustopniowość oraz tworzenie się produktów ubocznych, jak soli albo formamidu.
Z opisu patentowego DE-A-43 39 648 znany jest sposób wytwarzania kaprolaktamu (cyklicznego amidu) w wyniku reakcji nitrylu kwasu aminokapronowego z wodą w etanolowym roztworze w obecności tlenku tytanu jako katalizatora.
Zadaniem omawianego wynalazku było zatem zaradzenie wymienionym wyżej niedogodnościom.

Nitryl kwasu karboksylowego o wzorze 2 kontaktuje się z alkoholem o wzorze 3, korzystnie rozpuszczony w alkoholu o wzorze 3, w temperaturze wynoszącej 140 - 270°C, i pod ciśnieniem wynoszącym 3-14 MPa, w fazie ciekłej z tlenkiem tytanu jako katalizatorem, z reguły w aparatach o stałym ciśnieniu, jak autoklawach i reaktorach rurowych, korzystnie w reaktorach rurowych. Z reguły otrzymuje się alkoholowy roztwór estru kwasu karboksylowego i amidu kwasu karboksylowego o wzorze 1, z którego wyodrębnia się ester kwasu karboksylowego i amid kwasu karboksylowego o wzorze 1 zwykłymi metodami, na przykład drogą destylacji, ekstrakcji albo krystalizacji.
Amid kwasu karboksylowego można zawracać do reaktora razem ze świeżym nitrylem kwasu karboksylowego o wzorze 2.
Reakcję nitrylu kwasu nikotynowego o wzorze 2 albo stałych alkoholi o wzorze 3 można przeprowadzać w obojętnych rozpuszczalnikach, na przykład w eterach, korzystnie eterach o 2 - 20 atomach węgla, szczególnie korzystnie w eterach o 4 -12 atomach węgla, jak w eterze dietylrwym, eterze metylowo-tertbutylowym albo tetrahydrofuranie, w węglowodorach, korzystnie węglowodorach o 5 - 30 atomach węgla, szczególnie korzystnie węglowodorach o 5 - 12 atomach węgla, jak w toluenie i ksylenie, albo korzystnie w odpowiednich estrach kwasu karboksylowego r wzorze 1.
Jako heterogeniczny katalizator stosuje się tlenek tytanu.
Katalizator można stosować jako pełny katalizator albo katalizator na nośniku. Tak na przykład tlenek tytanu można stosować jako pasma tlenku tytanu albr jako tlenek tytanu naniesiemy cienką warstwa, na nośnik. W celu naniesienia tlenku tytanu na nośnik, jak ditlenek krzemu, tlenek glinu albr ditlenek cyrkonu można stosować wszystkie metody opisane w literaturze. - grupę C,-C20-alkilową, korzystnie CpC^-alkil, szczególnie korzystnie C,-C8-alkil, taką jak metyl, etyl, n-propyl, izopropyl, n-butyl, izobutyl, sec-butyl, tert-butyl, n-pentyl, izopentyl, n-heksyl, izoheksyl, n-heptyl, izoheptyl, n-oktyl oraz izooktyl, zwłaszcza C-C^alkil, jak metyl, etyl, n-propyl, izopropyl, n-butyl, izobutyl, sec-butyl i tert-butyl.
Estry kwasów karboksylowych i amidy kwasów karboksylowych o wzorze 1 nadają się jako półprodukty, produkty wstępne tworzyw sztucznych oraz w ochronie roślin i w farmacji.
Przykłady
Przykład I % wagowo etanolowy roztwór nitrylu kwasu nikotynowego z dodatkiem 1 mola wody (3,5% wagowych w odniesieniu do roztworu) prowadzono w temperaturze wynoszącej 220°C i pod ciśnieniem 80 barów (8 MPa) przez rurę wypełnioną tlenkiem tytanu (1,5 mm pasma). Czas przebywania ustawiano zmiennie za pomocą prędkości przepływu.

Analogicznie do przykładu 1,20 % wagowo etanolowy roztwór nitrylu kwasu nikotynowego w obecności 1 mola wody pompowano w temperaturze 220°C i pod ciśnieniem 80 barów [8 MPa] przez pustą rurę. Nie nastąpiła żadna reakcja.

- Zastrzeżenie patentoweSposób wytwarzania pochodnych kwasu nikotynowego o wzorze ogólnym 1 0H - ,R1 - C - X wzór 1 w którym X oznacza grupę OR albo NH2,R1 oznacza grupę 3-pirydylową,R2 oznacza grupę C 1-C20 -alkilową, z nitrylu kwasu nikotynowego o wzorze ogólnym 2Ri - C = N wzór 2, w którym Ri ma wyżej wymienione znaczenie, i alkoholi o wzorze ogólnym 3 r2 - OH wzór 3, w którym R ma wyżej wymienione znaczenia, w temperaturze wynoszącej 140 - 270°C i pod ciśnieniem 3-14 MPa w obecności tlenku tytanu jako heterogenicznego katalizatora, znamienny tym, że reakcję przeprowadza się w fazie ciekłej, w obecności objętnego rozpuszczalnika i wody.
