Abstract
La presente invencion es una composicion polimerica resistente a la ignicion, libre de halogeno, que comprende: A) un polimero termoplastico o una mezcla de polimeros termoplasticos; B) una resina epoxi multifuncional, modificada, que contiene de 0 a 20 por ciento en peso de grupos epoxi residuales, con base en el peso total de la resina epoxi; y C) un compuesto que contiene fosforo. El uso de un compuesto epoxi multifuncional, modificado, que tiene de 0 a 20 por ciento en peso de grupos epoxi residuales, acrecienta el retardamiento de las llamas del polimero termoplastico, y pueden incrementar la compatibilidad de la resina epoxi con el polimero termoplastico, mediante el uso de las funcionalidades modificadas, sin provocar defectos negros en el producto final. Se ha descubierto, adicionalmente, que las resinas epoxi multifuncionales, modificadas, tambien pueden contribuir a mejorar las propiedades mecanicas, la velocidad de flujo en fusion y la procesabilidad.
